Let Florida and California have their open oceans and warm waters this time of the year. Here in Michigan we not only have frozen tundra in our yards (which do not need mowing!) but iced lakes and rivers, with incredible formations!

And the scenes on the great Lakes, including Lake Michigan, are spectacular! In the winter we truly are treated to a wonderland, as these aerial photos demonstrate.
