VIDEO: Golfing on Lake Michigan icebergs |

This being Spring Break week (“Spring” – the season of year we all long for here in West Michigan – plus “Break” – a much-needed pause from our normal routine), we will keep things on the lighter side. And, since we golfers get antsy this time of year as we transition to good golfing weather (and conditions on the courses!), we might as well do what these inventive fellas did – golf on Lake Michigan icebergs!

This video was featured on a local TV station’s website last week. I was going to save it for a “Friday Fun” item, but today seems good too. So, enjoy this bit of unique West Michigan golfing humor. Here’s the introduction to it, followed by the video as it appears on YouTube.

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (WOOD) – How do you golf year round in West Michigan? Trade in your golf cart for a stand up paddleboard and putting greens for floating icebergs.

Photographers Seth Haley and Josh Nowicki suited up to make an amazing video of their iceberg golf experience on Lake Michigan near the lighthouse in St. Joseph.

Nowicki told 24 Hour News 8 that the idea came about after the two were along the lakeshore and he made a joke that the icebergs looked like putting greens. The video was filmed in March.
