My 2010 Blog in Review

Yesterday WordPress sent me a summary of how this “rookie” blogger did in 2010. I found it interesting. They said I could share it here. So now I am. For what it’s worth. All I can say again is, Thanks for being part of this. I think I would still blog even if no one read my posts. But it sure makes it more lively knowing there are people out there who do read it and benefit from it. 🙂

The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:

Incredible Space Pictures from ISS

And now for the second set of awe-inspiring pictures! These are of a much larger scope than the previous images of snowflakes. I will let the “editor” of this collection introduce these magnificent pictures taken from the space station as it orbits the earth:

On September 22, 2010, with the departure of the Expedition 23 crew, Colonel Douglas H. Wheelock assumed command of the International Space Station and the Expedition 25 crew. He is also known as @Astro_Wheels on twitter, where he has been tweeting pictures to his followers since he arrived at the space station. We thought that we should put some of them together as a tribute to him and the whole ISS crew. The images bring breathtaking views from our only off planet Vista point. The following pictures are all visible on Astro_Wheels’ twitpic account and for these we are eternally grateful to him for sharing these with the world. The captions are all his own words.

Once more, and as many of the comments at the bottom of the pictures state, only our sovereign Creator-God could have made such a world! And if this creation is still so beautiful and breathtaking while under the curse, can you imagine what the new heavens and earth will be like?! Truly,

Psalm 148:13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

Snowflakes As You’ve Never Seen Them!

From “Wired.com” comes these amazing pictures of snowflakes, as viewed under an electron microscope. If you didn’t know this beforehand, you might not guess what they are! But now that you know, you will see the truth behind the statement that no snowflake is the same. Again, one stands amazed at the intricate design and structure of these snowy creations. As the Egyptian magicians were made to confess long ago, so too do we say when we witness this: “this is the finger of God” (Ex.8:19). Marvel and magnify our God!
